Innovation pays off! New Rochelle High School has been honored by the New York State School Boards Association’s Champions of Change program for last spring’s musical, "Is There Life After High School?" Due to COVID-19 precautions, students and staff could not put on the show as they usually do, with in-person rehearsals and performances. However, the show must go on, and drama teacher Anthony Stirpe and the determined high school students created a virtual show by recording and editing on Apple products such as iPhones and Macintosh computers. Apple gave international exposure to the presentation through its Apple Newsroom. The association presented a banner in recognition of the production’s creativity during the New Rochelle Board of Education meeting Thursday.
