Hispanic Heritage Month at Trinity Elementary School is an opportunity to learn, instill pride, and embrace cultures and history.
As part of their study of nonfiction texts, fourth-graders are studying notable Latinx personalities and their contributions. Students researched and compiled notes that they used to create posters featuring the details they found most fascinating about the individuals studied. The young scholars also considered aspects of their own heritages to create a "Yo Soy" (“I am…”) display. Students wrote about and illustrated aspects of their home cultures that they love best.
