Trinity Elementary School was buzzing with excitement last Tuesday when nearly 1,000 students received backpacks filled with school supplies.
The giveaway was sponsored by Optimum through a partnership with Discovery and Save the Children, a nonprofit focused on child advocacy and providing resources and support to children nationwide. Trinity was one of three schools in Optimum’s viewing area to benefit. Teachers and students were excited and thankful to receive the generous donations.
Principal Michael Hilderbrand said, “We're still grappling with a multitude of different challenges with the pandemic, and so these supplies add one more layer of support for students and for families at the same time."
